Illustration Friday - Cats (or in this case CAT)

This is my Cat Chloe. The topic of Illustration Friday was a perfect excuse to try something different and draw my favorite four legged friend. I did this using Prismacolor pencils on green paper. Comments are welcome!

On a side note I'm amazed at how many people are participating in Illustration Friday now. I actually remember when I could check out almost everyones work and when I'd post I could acutally be in the first 200 or 300. Now I'm in the 700's. Penelope Dullaghan has really created something everyone can enjoy. Check it out www.illustrationfriday.com

Gorgeous-the cat and the drawing! I use colored pencils so much, I really should use the colored paper, too. I'm with you....I used to think 400 was a lot of contributors. Now it's hard to find time to see 700 entries. I sure hope she gets the thumbnail version of the site going soon!

Wonderful cat! I'm still viewing all of the entries. I hate to miss any, but I'm sure it will come to a point where I won't be able to :(

Wow - I am tempted to pet her! The fur is extraordinary...excellent work, Seth. I must say i am overwhelmed by the number of IF entries now...I feel like I can't even begin to visit all the sites, and i'm having a hard time finding the sites I know. Anyway, I'm glad i found yours - she's beautiful!

Seth, incredible job on your rendering of Chloe! Just beautifully done! You are so good in every medium you tackle! I'm glad I found your site in the sea of entries - I look for your site by name but as Carla says, it's getting harder every week, plus I know I must be missing other great talent. Thanks for sharing you talents with us!!

This is so beautiful...you could get a Pet Portrait business going with this kind of work! I have always like your use of colored paper.

Beautiful illustration (and cat). I really like the use of the green paper--makes the illo "pop" much better than if it were plain white.

The fur is excellent work! The green background used as midtone works really well!

This is a beautiful drawing! Very nice work. As a newbie, I hope I can keep up with this every week, let alone visiting everyone's sites!

WOW! Spectacular job Seth! You have captured her look to the "T". I should know, she grew up with me. You really should have a side job of pet portraits. Again, great job!!!

Great drawing here Seth (as well as your other posted work)! So you also lived in the 'burgh (go steelers!), have too many star wars toys, and your college friends rearranged your stuff for giggles as well? What a small and strange world it is.
