I Spy...A Robot from the Sky

I've been absent from Illustration Friday for awhile now. Life gets crazy from time to time and I tend to lose focus if I don't alot enough time to actually be creative every week. Above is this weeks entry "A Robot from the Sky" and as an added bonus (below) another illustration I finished this week called "Treehouse Factory", which could be a great illustration to accompany an editorial piece about child labor. Comments are welcome!

Enormous creativity -- with BOTH. I'd like to see the distant "pod" wreckage even a little more obvious on the mysterious horizon from where the robot landed. Well done!

The focus for the robot piece is in a "radial" pattern with everything leading to the center: the robot itself. Very, very well-composed, in my opinion. It reminds me a lot of The Iron Giant, one of my favourite animated films.

Well done!

These are both fantastic Seth--both so well done. The top illo reminds me of one of my all time favorite movies--"The Iron Giant". The bottom one makes me think of something we're all too willing to turn our backs on.
